Impression Obsession Santa and Sleigh

Wouldn't this be a great die to showcase on your holiday cards and projects?

Here's my Santa inspiration...

I've add lots and lots of layers to this 6 x 6 Santa card.  The card base of green cardstock is layered with Photoplay Mad Plaid papers.  What a fun collection of holiday papers!  I used ready made tags and die cut banner tags as the focal point.  Aside from the Santa, I took inspiration from the traditional holiday colors, the circle shape of the moon and the stars.

This Santa bell is one of my all time favorite embellishments for holiday cards.  The red bow represents his red hat.  I added a white pom pom as the topper!  My supply of bells is running low and I need to find more of them soon.

From my stash...
Bazzill Cardstock
Craftwork Cards Candi Dots
Photoplay Mad Plaid Collection
Tutti Designs Stitched Banner Die Cut
Tutti Designs Stitched Circle Die Cut
Tuttie Designs Stitched Star Die Cut
Other: Bell, pom pom, ribbon

Tutti Designs Poppies Stained Glass!

I'm back today sharing another project using one of the newly released stained glass panel die cuts from Tutti Designs.  They are a must see in the Tutti Store!

Today's card features the Poppies Stained Glass Panel Die Cut.

Poppies have a special meaning to our military veterans.  Although we see it used on Memorial Day as a symbol of remembrance for those that gave their lives, I thought it would be great to share this die now as we recently celebrated Veterans' Day on September 11th.  Veteran's Day is a day to honor all military members...those who are serving, have served and those retired.  My father-in-law is a WWII Navy veteran and my younger brother is an 82nd Airborne veteran along with numerous other extended family members that are serving or retired military veterans.  A big thank you to all for your service!

So, this one's for them...

"Faith"

I decided to go basically monochrome on this A2 card using a navy cardstock base and sentiment with orange micro beads as the filler for my image.

I used white cardstock for the Poppy Stained Glass image and cut a piece of double sided adhesive paper the same size.

Next, I adhered the die cut to one side of the adhesive paper.

I filled in all the areas and patted gently to make sure the beads were adhered tightly and sprayed the image with iridescent glitter spray.

I was thrilled to see how well the micro beads filled in and adhered to the die cut image.

I added the "Faith" sentiment in the lower right of the card.

The Cat's Meow!

Happy Monday, Tutti Friends!
I'm here sharing my latest Tutti inspiration.

November is here and promises to be a busy month for our family.  Today is my first of 5 posts this month featuring a selection of stained glass panel die cuts from the latest Tutti Designs release.  You don't want to miss this latest release, so be sure to stop by the store later and toss them in your cart.

My "Believe" card features the Cat Stained Glass Panel  from Tutti Designs.

"Believe"

I wanted to create a whimsical, but uplifting card for a friend of mine that is going through a rough time.  So, I added some fun colors and made the cat appear to be staring out the window at a bird that he believes is toying with him!

The flowers, leaves and cat are cut from various colors of velvet specialty paper using the same stained glass panel.

The bird is fussy cut from scrap paper and placed between vellum and patterned paper behind the stained glass panel.  I tried a pearl paint pen for the flower center, but wasn't happy with the results so I adhered a couple of yellow pearls instead.

I gave the window dimension by applying foam tape to the back when adhering it to the card base.  The sentiment, "Believe" is the larger word from the Tutti Designs Believe Word Set and cut from velvet too.
