Double D Bling It Up!

"Bling it Up and Bling it On".

Welcome back blogger friends.  Today we have a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog.  And it's an eye catcher..."Bling"!

Team Darlene is hosting this "Bling it on" Challenge today until midnight, June 6th.  Stop by the Double D Challenge Blog for guidelines and link up your "Bling It On" project.  You could be one of our Top 3 or Top Creative Winner chosen by the Design Team.  There's also a prize to be given away to one luck entry chosen by random.org.  Everyone is welcome to enter the challenge.

You could win this package of Jolee's Bling!

And, as always, we have awesome mood board inspiration for you!!
Would you just look at all of this bling?

I was inspired by the silver shoes, the touch of pink and turquoise along with the rhinestones.

"Hugs"

I used some of my favorite die cuts on this vintage bling card.  The 6" x 6" base is layered with turquoise metallic and pale pink patterned paper.  The background layers are mesh, a lace doily, Eiffel Tower and view-master.  A silver metallic shoe tops off the layers.  I used the die cut, Hugs, as my sentiment.  The rhinestones around the viewmaster, on the shoe and in the corners add the finishing touch of bling!!

Come along and join the fun at the Double D Challenge Blog!  Link your project to the
Double D "Bling It Up" challenge post by Sunday, May 13th and you could be one of our Top 3, the Creative Winner, or our random draw prize winner.

"Oceans of Love"...

Happy Monday Blogger friends!

Today, I'm sharing another nautical themed card using the Coral, Coral Reef Corner, Fishing Net, Under the Sea and Scallop Stitched Nesting Circles. The eleven nautical themed dies in the April release are fun, amazing and available for purchase in the Tutti Designs Store.  They are a must have for your die cut collection!

 "Sending you Oceans of Love..."

This 6 x 6 card design worked perfectly with Pebbles Fun in the Sun double sided paper, Waves.  I scored and folded so that the crab print was on the inside of the card.

I opened the card and used the largest Scallop Stitched Nesting Circle to take a "bite" out of the lower right corner.  This allowed the inside crab design to show.  I love these little crabs!

Next I die cut the Fishing Net from bronze glitter paper and the Under the Sea frame from Worldwin Caribbean Coral cardstock.  I've had this in my stash for a very long time.  They no longer make it, but it's always been a favorite because of the texture.   The Coral and Coral Reef Corner are cut from turquoise glitter paper.

The computer generated sentiment was cut using the Scallop Stitched Circles and matted with the Caribbean Coral cardstock. I fussy cut the crabs, fish, starfish and seaweed to use as embellishments on the net and around the sentiment.  A few Dew Drops complete the details.

Thanks for stopping by to share my "Oceans of Love" inspiration for Tutti Designs!

Have a "Magical Birthday"!

Good morning Blogger friends!
Today, I'm sharing a tag using the Coral Reef Corner and Coral from the new collection of dies released at Tutti Designs.

Yesterday was our granddaughter's birthday and she loves mermaids!  This was the perfect occasion to use a few of the dies from the April release.  The dies in this newest nautical collection are magical and a must have for your die cut stash.  Be sure to check them out in the Tutti Store!

"Have a Magical Birthday!"

What I did...

Traced a ready made tag onto patterned paper, cut it out, and adhered to the tag.

Stamped and embossed the mermaid onto embossed, shell print paper.  Inked for color.

Stamped mermaid again onto cardstock and fussy cut.  Trimmed the tail part from the embossed paper and adhered to the mermaid.

Colored the mermaid using pencils, markers, etc.  Added sparkle all over.
Cut the Coral Reef Corner and Coral from metallic cardstock.

Used a computer generated sentiment cut out with the Cross Stitch Nesting Rectangle.

Assembled and embellished with dew drops, pearls and ribbon.

May Flowers...finally!

Hey there Blogger friends!

I am so excited that April is behind us and we are now in the month of May!  It's time, once again, for a new Double D Challenge..."May Flowers".   Use flowers on your challenge project and link it up to the Double D "May Flowers" post by Sunday, May 13th to qualify as a Top 3 Winner, Creative Winner, or the random winner of the prize being offered below...

Precious Marieke Spring Flowers and Butterflies

We ship internationally, so everyone is welcome to join in the fun!

Use any of the colors shown on the mood board along with flowers.  Both are a must!

I chose the colors purple and green for my project...

My grand daughter loves head bands, especially ones with flowers, and purple is her favorite color.  So, I was inspired by the first photo on the mood board.  This is my second headband created with woven ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  What a fun project these are to create!

I embellished with a bow and Wild Orchid Crafts Tuscany and Mulberry Roses.
So, come join the fun!  Link your flower inspired project to our Double D "May Flowers" Challenge post today.  You could be the random prize winner!
